The remains of the diary of Israel’s first astronaut, Colonel Ilan Ramon, are going on display for the first time in Jerusalem this weekend. Ramon was one of the members of the crew of the ill-fated Columbia mission which exploded on its journey back to earth on February 1, 2003.
The display will include portions of the dairy that were recovered from the remains of the craft in which all seven crew members perished.

how did a paper diary survive when almost nothing of the shuttle was found? wow that means it survived re-entry to earths atmosphere!
he recited kiddush in space if i remember correctly.
of the pages that are displayed, one has Ramon’s hand-written Kiddush that he copied in so that he could make Kiddush on Friday night “in space” – most other pages that were restored were personal and with his almanoh
