MK (Hadash) Jamal Zahalka on Tuesday joined a number of self-proclaimed human rights activists who on Wednesday are leaving dock from Cyprus and heading to Gaza to once again break the “IDF siege on Gaza” imposed by Israel.

Zahalka stated “it is my privilege and obligation as an MK to act against these human rights violations.”

He added that it is unacceptable to have a situation prohibiting Israeli citizens from entering Gaza. He explained the last Israeli to do so, Prof. Jeff Halper, who was on one of the last two boats which broke the blockage, was arrested following his return to Israel.
