Three Arrested After Grisly Home Invasion Murder Of Israeli-American In Los Angeles

A violent home invasion turned deadly in Woodland Hills, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, last weekend, leaving an Israeli-American man dead and three suspects behind bars following an investigation by the LAPD and FBI.

Just after 1 a.m. Saturday morning, officers were dispatched to the 22200 block of De La Osa Street after receiving reports of a death. When they arrived, they found a harrowing scene: 47-year-old Aleksandre Modebadze lying lifeless inside the home, the victim of a brutal assault. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene, citing a severe head injury.

Detectives launched an immediate investigation, uncovering chilling details. According to police, three suspects had broken into Modebadze’s home, held him captive, and assaulted him before fleeing into the night.

But the suspects’ time on the run was short-lived. Working swiftly, LAPD Marshal’s Taskforce officers, alongside the FBI, tracked the alleged killers down within hours.

One suspect was captured near Sepulveda Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard, while the other two were arrested in Glendale on Burchett Street.

The suspects — 38-year-old Paata Kochyashvili, 46-year-old Otarashvili, and 52-year-old Besiki Khutsishvili — are now facing murder charges. All three are being held on $2 million bail.

Authorities are still piecing together the full motive behind the deadly break-in.

  1. So tragic, BDE. Both the suspects and the victim have Georgian names. I think there may be more to this story than meets the eye.
