Aaron Abramowitz, the director-general of the Israel Foreign Ministry has made an appeal on behalf of the PA to the international community in his address at a UN-sponsored conference to benefit the PA.

Abramowitz stated many countries have pledged to assist the PA, calling upon them to turn their words into reality by fulfilling the pledge.

He went on to explain how Israel continues working to build a solid PA economy, explaining Israel continues to relax security restrictions by removing checkpoints and permitting PA residents easier passage in autonomous areas, by permitting the construction of additional police stations and the transfer of weapons and other equipment to the PA, and encouraging business in autonomous areas.
