Millions of Israelis in central Israel and the Jerusaelm area ran to bomb shelters on Sunday morning after the Houthis fired a ballistic missile at Israel, including in the cities of Tel Aviv, Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak, Modiin Illit, Beitar Illit, Elad, Ramat Gan, Givat Shmuel, Hetziliya, Rishon L’Tzion, Rechovot, Holon and Be’er Yaakov.

The IDF spokesperson later stated that the missile was intercepted outside Israel.

A woman in her 30s was moderately injured when she stumbled and fell into a ditch on Route 1 from a height of about three meters after fleeing her car to take shelter on the side of the highway during the siren. Paramedics treated her at the scene and evacuated her to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Pieces of shrapnel fell in several areas, including in a soccer field of a school in Tzur Hadassah; on the roof of a private house, and in the garden of another house in Moshav Eshtaol; on a car near the moshav, and in an open area on Moshav Ta’oz.

Itay Blumenthal from Kan News reported that the missile shrapnel revealed that the engine was powered by liquid fuel [the tube can be seen inside the tank], which allows a relatively small fuel tank to be installed on the missile and for the missile itself to reach high speeds.
