Agon Shu, a Japanese cultural organization, donated 1,000 wheelchairs to Yad Sarah, the national medical equipment lending organization in Israel found by Rav Uri Lupoliansky, the mayor of Jerusalem.
The ceremony was held in the organization’s headquarters, in Yerushalayim, with the participation of the mayor and the 87-year-old head of the Japanese cultural organization.
According to Yad Sarah, it lent out close to 25,000 wheelchairs last year.
