In a dramatic escalation of pressure on Hamas, Energy Minister Eli Cohen has ordered the Israel Electric Corporation to cut off the electricity supply to Gaza, a move aimed at forcing the terror group to comply with demands in ongoing ceasefire negotiations. The decision comes as part of Israelâs broader strategy to leverage humanitarian measures to secure the release of hostages still held captive in the enclave.
âWe will employ all the tools available to us so that all the hostages will return, and we will ensure that Hamas wonât be in Gaza on the âday after,’â says Cohen in a video statement.
According to Israeli officials, the electricity cutoff was implemented to âratchet up pressureâ on Hamas, which has been accused of stalling talks and refusing to release the remaining captives taken during its October 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel. This step follows Israelâs earlier decision to block all humanitarian aid into Gaza, to weaken Hamasâ grip on the region.
The cessation of electricity, which Gaza relies on heavily from Israel despite its own limited power generation, is expected to exacerbate an already dire humanitarian situation.

The “dire humanitarian crisis” is pure propaganda. They have supplies, compliments of Israel, to keep them fed for at least 4-6 months. The fuel should be stopped if they want to really turn the screws.
Don’t just turn off the juice, bur sever all the wires & cables, before the wicked supreme court sneaks from behind to turn back on the electricity
Stop all food,water,fuel,electricity,medicine,internet and most important allowing all media into Gaza. They need to keep the world in the dark otherwise there will be pressure from all the world Jew hating governments and colleges. Keep your tactics secret.
Israel tried doing this during the early days of the war but Sleepy Joe stopped them…put immense pressure on Israel to not do any of the things is Israel is now doing. However Trump – for now at least, gave them the green light..
Most reasonable would agree that if not for Biden being in the WH this war would have been long over and more hostages would have been saved and less IDF soldiers would have been killed..
