5:47AM IL: Shaul Mofaz’s attorney, Yehuda Weinstein, told Israel Radio a short time ago that he believes Mofaz should appeal the decision of the Kadima election which places Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni’s as Israel’s next prime minister.

It appears that at the heart of the dispute if the Rahat polling station. YWN reported earlier that a dispute that ensued in the Rahat polling station resulted in voting slips being tossed around. Earlier, election officials indicated that polling station would not be tabulated. At present it appears the votes from Rahat were included in the count.

Mofaz has not announced his defeat and he has not phoned Livni to congratulate her.
