Former Beetle Sir John McCartney is being threatened by radical Islamic elements in England, warning him not to travel to Israel for his Tel Aviv concert as planned.
A report in the British Sunday Express quoted internet threats, stating that if McCartney performs in Tel Aviv next week as planned, he may find himself in the midst of a suicide bombing attack. “He will become a target for all Muslims”.
“If he values his life, it would be worthwhile to refrain from traveling to there. The forces are already ready and waiting for him there.”
McCartney apparently was shocked over the threats but for now, it does not appear that he is planning to cancel the event. His staff reports that he has already been approached by Muslims in England, requesting he cancel the concert, but he is unwilling to entertain their request.
A number of Islamic websites have already stated that if McCartney appears in Israel, the global Islamic community will boycott him.
