IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi visited the Ramon Air Force on Tuesday and spoke to the air and ground crews who participated in Operation Days of Return, Israel’s recent attack on Iran.
Halevi said, “If Iran makes the mistake of firing another barrage of missiles at Israel, we’ll know how to reach Iran again, even with capabilities we didn’t use this time, and hit very, very hard – both in terms of our capabilities and places we didn’t hit this time.”
“We did this for a very simple reason: because we may need to do it again. We have not finished this event, we’re still in the middle of it.”
“We couldn’t have done this without the very significant capabilities that each and every one of you brings,” Halevi added, expressing his appreciation to the Air Force crews for the successful operation.
“We are now looking ahead. We’re highly prepared across all fronts. We are fighting in Lebanon, in Gaza, fighting terrorism in Yehudah and Shomron, and other distant arenas.”

Iran is not without options to respond to a devastating attack by Israel in which they destroy all the sites where they took out the air defense systems. The ayatollah told his officers on Friday to prepare for war against Israel in the event of an Israeli attack. Iran repeatedly says they were able to fight a war against Iraq for 8 years and that this is something Israel doesn’t have either the capacity to do, meaning the weaponry, or the strength, meaning the manpower since a large part of their military are reservists with jobs and the economy cannot have them fighting for years, let alone their families who are dependent on them for their livelihoods. In fact all the ayatollah needs to do is to issue a fatwah that its an obligation to go and fight Israel and many hundreds of thousands of shiah men will come to Lebanon to fight, along with artillery and other equipment supplied by Iran. This will be the type of fighting we see in Ukraine where the death rates are very high and where the fighting goes on for years, along with the additional fact that the muslim men will be only happy to die fighting a jihad which is the greatest thing a person can accomplish in this world in their eyes. So Iran has options beyond just firing off its missiles.
