NOT EVEN CLOSE: Israelis Prefer Donald Trump Over Kamala Harris 66% To 17% In Upcoming Election

A poll conducted by Channel 12 TV reveals that Israeli citizens overwhelmingly favor Republican candidate and former U.S. President Donald Trump over Democratic contender and current Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

In response to the question of who they would prefer as the next U.S. president, 66% of respondents selected Trump, while only 17% expressed a preference for Harris. Another 17% remained undecided.

Channel 12 also noted that public sentiment in Israel briefly leaned in favor of President Joe Biden in the wake of his support for Israel following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks. However, that sentiment has reportedly waned over the past year as U.S. policy appeared to take a more restrained approach toward Israel’s actions in the region.

Trump, who served as U.S. president from 2017 to 2021, maintained strong ties with Israel during his tenure, enacting policies such as relocating the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and adopting a tougher stance against Iran. These moves have bolstered his popularity among Israelis, who continue to view his leadership favorably heading into the upcoming election.
