Due to increased security threats, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet will no longer meet at the traditional locations of the Prime Minister’s Office or IDF headquarters, according to reports from Hebrew-language media. The new protocol, implemented Monday, marks a shift from the usual venues to undisclosed locations to address emerging security risks.

The Kan public broadcaster reported that this new arrangement was introduced after recent security threats, including attempted attacks on politicians and government sites. According to Ynet, the change follows the Hezbollah drone attack targeting Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea earlier this month.

While the meetings will no longer occur in a fixed location, sources indicated they would not be held at the recently constructed underground bunker outside Jerusalem.

The site also notes that ministerial advisers were not permitted to attend today’s cabinet meeting, which was held at an undisclosed location. Ministers were reportedly informed of the location change on short notice this morning and were told the new venue would not offer parking or a waiting area for aides. Additionally, ministers arriving armed were advised they would not be allowed to bring weapons into the meeting, according to the report.
