Some 100 people in Nazareth exhibited varying degrees of food poisoning which has been traced back to a local restaurant. While most of the victims were only complaining of minor symptoms, 20 are still hospitalized on Tuesday morning and are being treated for vomiting, diarrhea and related problems.
Health officials report they all ate shwarma at the Abu Ha’ani Restaurant, which has been closed down and the remaining meat in the eatery confiscated for laboratory testing. Restaurant management denies they sold bad food to patrons.
