A rocket barrage fired by Hezbollah at Kiryat Shmona on Wednesday afternoon left two people dead.
MDA paramedics found a man and a woman in their 40s, unconscious and in critical condition. Sadly, their deaths were pronounced shortly later.
About 20 rockets were fired at the city, the IDF said. Several buildings were hit, causing fires to break out. Five firefighting teams are currently working to quell the flames.
An MDA paramedic, Aviad Hertz, said: “As soon as we received the report, we quickly deployed large teams to the sites where the calls came in. At one of the locations, we found a man and a woman, both around 40 years old, unconscious with shrapnel wounds. We performed medical checks but their injuries were critical, and we had to pronounce them dead on the scene.”
Earlier in the afternoon, six people were injured, one seriously, in a rocket barrage at the Haifa area.
