6 Injured, 1 Seriously, After Hezbollah Fires Heavy Barrage At Haifa Area

For the second day in a row, Hezbollah fired a heavy rocket barrage at the Haifa area early Wednesday afternoon.

Following numerous explosions and reports of direct hits in the suburbs of Haifa, MDA reported that five people were injured by shrapnel, including a 16-year-old in serious condition and four people in their 40s and 50s, all in light condition.

Additionally, a motorcycle driver in his 30s was lightly injured when he hit a car when the siren blared.

One rocket fell in a cemetery in Kiryat Bialik,  causing power outages in the city and kindling several fires in open areas.

The IDF later stated that 40 rockets were fired, some of which were intercepted.

Following the rocket barrage on Tuesday, the Home Front Command tightened the restrictions in the Krayot area (suburbs of Haifa) and ordered that all schools be closed. According to the guidelines, the Haifa Bay area, including the towns of Kiryat Ata, Kiryat Bialik, Kiryat Yam, and Kiryat Motzkin, shifted from a partial activity level to a restricted activity level that does not allow for educational activities.
