The soldiers of the Golani Brigade recently captured a Hezbollah combat compound located in a house and adjacent olive grove in Maround El Ras, a village in southern Lebanon, the IDF spokesperson stated on Tuesday.
The compound, which posed a direct threat to yishuvim in northern Israel it overlooked, was discovered during the Brigade’s targeted operations in the Maround El Ras Area.
Soldiers found a fully loaded rocket launcher ready to fire at northern Israel in the olive grove, along with underground infrastructure, including hideouts and living areas.
Additional rocket launchers were found inside the kitchen of the home. Other parts of the home housed anti-tank missiles and a large cache of weapons prepared for planned ambushes against IDF forces and residents of northern Israel. There were enough weapons in the cache for at least five ambushes.
