*Today, Monday, is day 83 of the virtual Gaza ceasefire.

*Today is Gilad Shalit’s 806th day in Hamas captivity.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terrorism operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron arrested 7 suspects during the night. Near Jenin, soldiers uncovered shotguns and ammunition. No injuries were reported.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*235 new immigrants are scheduled to arrive in Ben-Gurion International Airport today from North America. They are coming under the Nefesh B’Nefesh banner, the organization now responsible for aliyah from N. America, having brought 2,000 Jews home during the summer months.

*Speaking at a Cholon election rally, Minister Avi Dichter stated whoever is elected as the next leader of Kadima will be responsible for forming the next cabinet.

*Train service suspended on Kiryat Motzkin – Nahariya line until Sunday to permit maintenance work.

*Abu Mazen expected to participate in an Arab foreign ministers conference in Cairo on Monday.
