One drunk driver did not have to be apprehended. He actually delivered himself to the police, who on Sunday night were standing at a checkpoint at Beit Banai Jct. The intoxicated driver pulled alongside police and asked directions to Ohr Akiva. They immediately detected a strong scent of alcohol and requested he step outside, giving him a breath analysis test. He was over four times in excess of the legal limit. When asked if he drank, he responded, “I do not drink beer due to a cholesterol problem. I only drank vodka.”
