According to a Kuwaiti media report, Iranian experts have assisted Hizbullah in setting up anti-aircraft batteries ahead of an expected Israel Air Force attack.
According to the report, 300 Iranian experts arrived in Lebanon three months ago, and are working to assist Hizbullah in efforts to activate the anti-aircraft systems, primarily along the western mountainous regions. Arab media reports believe a major Israeli attack will take place in November, to coincide with the American presidential elections.
Hizbullah is quoted as saying that if Israeli jets attack, they will be conducting a “quality suicide mission,” indicating the anti-aircraft will take the fighter jets down.
Lebanese media reports on Thursday report Israeli fighter planes have entered Lebanese airspace.
