On Monday, Rosh Chodesh Elul, people wishing to travel to Kever Rachel in PA-occupied Beit Lechem, will be able to do so in regular, non-bullet resistant vehicles, as has been the case for the past eight years. They will be able to visit the holy site in a regular car, as was the case years ago.
Authorities have decided to permit the change but stress no one will be permitted to make their way to the kever by foot.
The number of vehicles permitted into the area will be determined by parking space availability.
