About six months ago, 9-year-old Sderot resident Osher Tuito became another victim of the Hamas rockets fired into southern Israel. Baruch Hashem, today he is alive, and he is learning the new realities of his prosthetic legs. Both his legs were amputated as a result of the attack.
Osher was released from Tel Hashomer Hospital’s rehabilitation center on Tuesday, permitted to return home. The family has since left Sderot, and they have relocated to Ashdod in the hope of distancing themselves from future attacks.
“Ima look!! I am walking” exclaimed Osher on Tuesday, after completing three weeks of intensive training, now capable of ambulating on his new legs with crutches.
Next week, Osher hopes to begin the new school year, now under the threat of the longer-range Kassam rockets held by Hamas in Gaza.
