Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to undergo hernia surgery tonight following the war cabinet meeting, his office confirms.

The surgery will be performed under full anesthesia.

The hernia was detected during a routine checkup last night.

In the interim, Justice Minister Yariv Levin, who also serves as the deputy prime minister, will assume Netanyahu’s responsibilities.
