IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari on Wednesday evening addressed the issue of the many hostages still being held by Hamas in Gaza, saying that the security establishment does not yet have a complete picture of their situation.

“We’re exerting all efforts to gather intelligence about the hostages and we adjust our operations based on the intelligence at our disposal,” he said.

However, he clarified that “we do not have a complete intelligence picture of the situation of all the hostages,” adding that continuous intelligence efforts are being carried out to try to glean more information.

Hagari emphasized that the goal to bring back the hostages is a top priority for the army.
