Syria has recently conducted a number of tests of surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, Israel’s Channel 2 News reported.
The tests were conducted in a desert area in eastern Syria, and they were detected and tracked by Israel’s Oren Yarok and Oren Adir anti-ballistic missile detection systems.
The air force and the Homefront Command took advantage of the situation and conducted a number of response exercises simulating a real attack from Syria.
Haaretz reports that defense establishment officials are more concerned over the long-range missiles, more so than the Scud rockets held by Damascus.
