Hama terrorists struck IDF forces on Shabbos as they were opening a humanitarian route in the Gaza Strip to allow Gazan civilians to move southwards.
Gazan residents were informed that the Salah Al-Din road will be open between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. for residents of the northern Gaza Strip who had not yet evacuated the area.
Hamas terrorists took advantage of the lull in fighting to fire mortar and anti-tank missiles at IDF troops who were opening the road. They did so not only to injure or kill Israeli forces but also in order to prevent Gazan civilians from evacuating.
B’Chasdei Hashem, no IDF troops were injured in the incident.
