Liberal comedian Bill Maher went off on Harvard students and faculty, pointing out their stupidity and hypocrisy as it has pertained to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
“There are few if any positives to come out of what has happened in Israel but one of them is opening America’s eyes to how higher education has become indoctrination into a stew of bad ideas, among them the simplistic notion that the world is a binary place where everyone is either an oppressor or oppressed,” Maher said. “The same students who will tell you that ‘words are violence’ and ‘silence is violence’ were very supportive when Hamas terrorists went on a rape and murder rampage as if they were the Vikings. They knew where to point the fingers—at the murdered—and then it was off to ethics class.”
“They don’t know much of anything actually, but it doesn’t deter them from having an opinion,” he continued, adding, “They’ve convinced themselves Israel is the most repressive regime in history because they have no knowledge of history or even a desire to know it. And actual history doesn’t come up in their intersectionality of politics and genderqueers identities class.”
He explained that “college life today is a day spa combined with North Korean re-education camp. It’s a daycare center with a meal plan, except the toddlers can fire the adults.”
“If ignorance is a disease, Harvard Yard is the Wuhan wet market,” he quipped.

It’s good to see this BUT; he and his kind (left of center) are only recently waking up. Where has he (and his fellow leftists) been for the past few decades as the groundwork for this was being laid. Harvard didn’t just come to this state of affairs overnight. The left has been waging this war since the New Deal. Now, that the “crazies” are coming for them, the normal leftists are complaining. Too little, too late.

THE MAJORITY of DEMOCRATS ON THE LEFT, INCLUDING BIDEN, have ALWAYS been fighting against any defense of terrorists and terrorism forever.
They have stood together ALWAYS with the Republicans and have ALWAYS supported Israel being able to defend itself.
Do not confuse the left with these crazy Harvard students and do not confuse the majority of Democrat’s with Ilhan Omar or Rashida Tlaib.
These crazies are not coming for anybody. In fact , by showing their immorality they have seriously damaged their ability to get jobs with major firms after graduation.
They have usually sided with Israel but I think you are missing the bigger picture. The left has walked in lock-step with the woke agenda for years (before there was a term “woke”). This has allowed the ground to be prepared for what we are seeing now.

Comedians had a great deal of fun with Hitler (at least before the war, after the war it became harder to do so in good taste, though some have tried). Charlie Chaplin’s “The Great Dictator” is considered one of the classic movies of all time (note it was released just as the war was starting).
What matters is whether universities and the government will treat anti-Semitism the same way they treat anti-Black racism? Will student groups advocating murdering Jews be banned from campuses? Will professors find their tenure revoked? Will employers find membership in anti-Semitic organizations to be a disqualification? Will anti-Semitic politicians find that their party (the Democrats) no longer want them around. Will people who supported BLM (Black Lives Matter) take down the signs, and remove their support from their websites, now that the organization came out in favor of murdering Jewish babies.
Without getting involved here, just to answer, @jackk, the question you asked @Yussel: The connection between the liberals as a whole and the nutjobs, is that they both support the woke agenda. Supporting the woke agenda ones the way forthw outbreak of an extremist version of the woke agenda; such, at its most irrational and ridiculous level, lends itself to idiocy like Omar’s and Tlaib’s, because it idolizes equity above all else and above all morals. The absolute need for equity breeds the sick line of thinking that presumes all humans to be either oppressors or oppressed; once Gazans can conceivably be considered “oppressed,” NOTHING — NOTHING WHATSOEVER — matters at all… no morals, no values, no liberalism, nothing! Even the unprovoked slaughter of helpless babies can be excused.

Did anyone see that the governor of Arkansas, Sarah Huckabee, just passed
a resolution to remove “woke nonsense” language from certain government
documents. Specifically she’s referring to “pregnant people” and “birth giver” as
silly terms.
Are there any frum organizations addressing the fake news, posts, and videos
that are circulating? Or educating people how to tell if they are fake?
Jackk lies. The Democrats REFUSED TO VOTE for a motion condemning Omar a few years ago. They turned it into a motion condemning “antisemitism” in general, and in such broad terms that even Omar herself had no problem voting for it. They will refuse to remove Tlaib from her committees, and if the next speaker removes her unilaterally, as he should, and as THEY removed MTG for far less reason, they will scream to high heavens. And Jackk will scream with them.
The fact remains, and Jackk cannot deny it, that antisemites are welcome in the Democrat Party. Not every Democrat is personally an antisemite, but every Democrat finds it acceptable, because no Democrat supports expelling the antisemites from the party, or even ostracizing them within the party. Whereas antisemites have been unwelcome in the Republican Party for at least the past 30 years. There are NO open antisemites in the GOP; those who are antisemites keep it well hidden, and when they slip they are made unwelcome and leave. Even 30-45 years ago, Pat Buchanan kept his antisemitism hidden until he left the party anyway; his sister was open about her antisemitism but he was not, because he knew it would harm him.
(No, MTG is either genuinely not an antisemite or she’s being careful to hide it. And I don’t think she’s smart enough to do that, so I think she’s genuinely not one.)
