Saudi Arabia’s former intelligence chief and one-time ambassador to the U.S., Prince Turki al-Faisal, delivered a scathing critique of both Hamas and Israel during a speech at the Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University on Tuesday.
In his address, Prince Turki condemned Hamas’s alleged targeting of civilians, stating, “Such targeting belies Hamas’s claim to Islamic identity.” He also criticized the organization for giving “an excuse to an Israeli government that is universally shunned” to carry out attacks on Gaza.
On the other hand, he lambasted Israel for its actions in Gaza and the West Bank, particularly its indiscriminate bombing and arrest of Palestinian civilians. He remarked, “Two wrongs don’t make a right,” emphasizing the gravity of both sides’ actions.
The Prince, who is perceived to be close to the royal palace, further lamented the sabotage of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to find a peaceful resolution for the Palestinians by Hamas. He took issue with Israel’s tactics, questioning the narrative presented by the American media about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In a powerful closing, Prince Turki criticized the unequal response of Western politicians to the conflict, stating, “There are no heroes in this complex, only victims.”
Prince Turki’s comments are notable as he remains one of the most prominent Saudi figures to openly critique Hamas.

Yes. He wants civil disobedience by the Arab population throughout Israel in order to bring it down. The same goes for other Arab countries that are officially at peace with Israel like Egypt and Jordan. They would rather Israel not exist. He said that Islamic law protects the lives of innocent civilians. It does not, however, protect women from being abused. In fact, it encourages it and doesn’t consider it abuse. They consider women to be property to use. They want to conquer Israel and rape every girl above three years old. They want to rape children, teens, and wives in front of their husbands, etc. This is their dream. This is what they believe in. This sicko didn’t mention any of the Arab massacres like the Chevron massacre etc. This deranged piece of filth supports every suicide bombing. He is just sick deranged pieces of excrement.
His comments are not notable at all. He accuses Israel of all the things that Palestinians do all over Israel. And he is just USING the Palestinians, as every other Arab state has.
If he really cared about the Palestinians, he would offer to take them in to Saudi Arabia. But he doesn’t and he won’t. As far as he is concerned, for unfeeling reasons or political reasons, he is comfortable if they all died. He is USING them in a similar manner to Hamas, hiding behind their plight for his own nefarious purposes.
