Thousands of people accompanied the Kutz family, H’yd, on their final journey on Tuesday at the beis kevaros in Gan Yavne.
The entire family was murdered last Shabbos in the massacre at Kibbur Kfar Aza – the parents, Aviv, z’l, 50, and Livnat, z’l, 49, and their three children, Rotem, z’l, 19, Yonatan, z’l, 16, and Yiftach, z’l, 14.
Their bodies, which weren’t discovered until Tuesday, were found together in one bed in their home – where they huddled together during their final moments.
The family built their dream home in Kfar Aza four years ago after moving back to Israel from Boston. Livnat’s sister Adi Levy-Salma told Ynet that Livnat’s husband Aviv grew up in Kfar Aza and wanted to return there. “When they built the home about four years ago, Livnat insisted it wouldn’t be adjacent to the fence, fearing that a tunnel might be nearby,” she said.
At the levaya, Aviv’s father Benny said: “How do I begin to be maspid and speak about the five dearest members of the family? Who should we cry over first? How is it possible?”
Livnat’s father, Yehudah Levi, recited Kaddish.
Yehi Zichram Baruch.
