The Hamas terror group on Monday released its first video of an Israeli hostage taken during its murderous assault on southern Israel 9 days ago.
The video clip shows an Israeli woman being treated for an apparent arm injury, after which she speaks to the camera.
“Hi, I’m Mia Shem, 21 years old from Shoham,” she says. “Currently, I’m in Gaza. I returned early Saturday morning from Sderot; I was at a party. I was seriously injured in my hand. I underwent surgery on my hand at the hospital [in Gaza] for 3 hours. They are taking care of me, giving me medicine, everything is fine. I only ask that they bring me home as soon as possible to my parents, to my siblings. Get me out of here as soon as possible. Please.”

I don’t understand. A few days ago, the Israeli government put out a request to uninstall Instagram, Tiktok etc so as not to be exposed to these exact videos which were expected to be released shortly by Hamas. YWN itself posted this, seemingly so people should do so. As such, I was fairly shocked to see this video on this website. What is the rationale and policy behind showing them?
Seems (since I don’t know her before) she has visible trauma by her lips. What’s for certain is: They’re using her for their lip-service.

Jonatahan Pollard said the only possible option (which admittedly is probably not an option for the govtmt bc of international pressure etc) is to execute terrorists in our prisons when they execute hostages. not premptively as Ruach said because as Coffee Addict said hamas will do the same. I suppose he means this will buy time for an operation of sorts. Of course this is not guaranteed but as we saw with the releases from shalit (who planned this whole thing) it will cause more harm to innocents (and prob assur (not that they are taking that into account but just from the Torah’s perspective as well)) to release any more of these monsters.
