In the midst of their unexpected stay in Eretz Yisroel due to the ongoing war, the Schwartz family from Baltimore found a meaningful way to contribute to the welfare of soldiers.
Last Thursday night, the Schwartz’s received an email that would lead them to participate in a heartwarming initiative. The email said that the Orthodox Union (OU), in collaboration with a shul in Florida, was sponsoring the production of numerous pairs of tzitzis for Israeli soldiers. However, they required assistance in crafting these sacred items.
Without hesitation, Yisrael Schwartz and his son, Yaakov, decided to lend their hands to this noble cause. They joined a sizable group hailing from Yeshivas Beis Yisroel, conveniently located in close proximity to Yisrael’s parents’ home in Neve Yaakov.
Together, this dedicated group embarked on a mission to create several pairs of tzitzis with unwavering commitment. Remarkably, their collective efforts resulted in the crafting of an impressive 200 pairs of tzitzis destined for the soldiers serving in Israel.
In a time of turmoil and uncertainty, the Schwartz family and their fellow volunteers have demonstrated the enduring spirit of unity and support for those on the front lines.
