An IDF officer was killed by an anti-tank missile fired by Hezbollah terrorists at IDF targets near the northern border on Sunday.
There were five such incidents of anti-tank fire on Sunday. In a separate incident, an Arab construction worker was killed and three others were injured. In total, seven Israelis, one civilian and six IDF soldiers have been killed defending the northern border since Operation Iron Swords began last Shabbos.
The fallen IDF officer was identified on Monday morning as Lieutenant Amitai Tzvi Granot, H’yd, the son of HaRav Tamir Granot, the Rosh Yeshivah of Orot Shaul Yeshivah in southern Tel Aviv.
Granot, z’l, 24, a resident of Tel Aviv, served as a team commander in the 75th Battalion. He got engaged to be married just two weeks ago.
