Israeli security forces, including the IDF, the Shin Bet, and the Israel Police, located 30 missing persons, 16 Israeli citizens and 14 Thai citizens, all safe and sound, in Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha, not far from the Gazan border.
On Monday at 9:00 p.m., a distress call was received at the IDF’s National Emergency Command headquarters about a group of missing people. The personnel of the headquarters verified the details of the incident, and with the help of coordinates, they were able to locate them. At 9:52 p.m., IDF tactical teams arrived at the kibbutz and rescued them from the area.
“Amidst the great darkness, we had a small spot of light last night,” Police Officer Yossi Greiber said on Tuesday. “Thanks to reports from citizens and cooperation between a special team of the Home Front Command, the Shin Bet and the police, 30 people were located and saved from the inferno. There was great excitement when we received the report that they were found together alive and well and are on their way to a safe place.”
