Minister of Pensioner Affairs Rafi Eitan announced on Tuesday that if the state does indeed make a major cut in senior citizen funding in the 2009 budget, he will make certain that the next step is national elections.

Speaking to reporters, the leader of the Pensioner Party stated that knows how to make this occur, stating with absolute certainty that his party will not tolerate any cuts in senior citizen funding.

At present, it appears the two major areas threatened by large cuts are defense and senior citizens, with both ministers stating they cannot tolerate budgetary cuts due to the seriousness of the issues at hand.
