Israel: PM’s Guards Beat Two Suspicious Arab Gardeners

Two Arab gardeners, employed by a firm contracted by Jerusalem City Hall, were beaten and hospitalized by security agents protecting the Prime Minister’s Residence in Yerushalayim.

According to the limited information available, the incident occurred on Monday. The two were instructed to present identification. When they refused, the security agents began beating them. The two are admitted to local hospitals, with reports that injuries include fractured ribs, fractured jaw, soft tissue trauma, and other assorted bruises, contusions and fractures. No additional information is available at this time.

It appears the actions of the security agents was prompted by recent attacks in the capital involving bulldozers, fearing the shovels and other tools used by the gardeners in proximity to the Prime Minister’s Residence could have led to an attack.
