olmert f1.jpgPrime Minister Ehud Olmert’s cabinet secretary, Oveid Yechezkel, was questioned by police on Monday for eight hours regarding his alleged involvement in illegal activities connected to the prime minister.

Yechezkel was questioned ‘under warning,’ which signals a criminal indictment is likely. He may face charges of fraud and breech of trust pertaining to a period during which he was an aide to Olmert during his tenure as minister of industry & trade, 2003-2005. Yechezkel is believed involved in Olmert’s illegal political appointments and other dealings.

In a message to the media released on Monday by the Prime Minister’s Office, officials stated that all of Yechezkel’s activities were within the framework of the law.
