Prominent Yediot Achronot journalist Tzadok Yehezkeli was seriously wounded in an explosion in Gori while covering the fighting in Georgia, Yediot Achronot reports. According to the report, the incident occurred on Tuesday morning.
The 52-year-old veteran award-winning journalist was transported to a hospital in Tbilisi and he is reported in serious/stable condition following surgery.
Yehezkeli and a number of other journalists were standing near a town square when a bomb exploded. A Dutch reporter, who assisted in transported Yehezkeli to hospital, was less seriously injured by shrapnel in the blast.
