TERROR IN ISRAEL: Israeli Murdered In Shooting Attack In Tel Aviv

A terrorist opened fire at two municipal patrol officers at the Nachalat Binyanim pedestrian mall in Tel Aviv on Shabbos afternoon, critically injuring one of them.

The terrorist aroused the suspicion of the officers when he arrived at the area, and they approached him in order to question him, calling out to him. The terrorist, ignoring their calls, opened fire at them as they got off their motorcycles, shooting one of them in the head and critically injuring him. The second guard immediately fired back, neutralizing the terrorist.

The wounded victim, in his 40s, was treated at the scene and evacuated to Ichilov Hospital, where the doctors fought for his life. Sadly, his death was announced on Motzei Shabbos and he was identified as Chen Amir, h’yd. Chen, z’l, 42, was married and a father of three daughters.

The terrorist was later identified as Kamal Abu Bakr, a 22-year-old Islamic Jihad operative from Rummanah, who has been hiding in Jenin for the past six months as he was wanted by the IDF and Shin Bet for terror activities. He was treated at the scene by MDA paramedics and evacuated to Ichilov, where he was later pronounced dead.

In a statement on Motzei Shabbos, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu praised the security guards for their alertness, saying they had prevented a much greater attack. The attack took place in an area with many restaurants and bars.

Below, Arabs in Jenin can be seen celebrating the attack:

  1. Sorimel- that’s a disgusting and very inappropriate comment.

They were working as security which is allowed on Shabbos, just like the army and the police!

It’s a little more than 40 days before Rosh Hashanah – Yom HaDin, you should be careful with your comments, especially on other Jews.

  2. Sorimel. Ur comment so disgusting and judgmental. So when a chareidi shomer Shabbat person gets killed, what’s the reason then? U seem to know the reasons.

  3. Very sad on all fronts-that the mall is open on shabbos and security is needed and that we have enemies that are out to harm us rachmana litzlan-proving to us how badly we need Moshiach now!!!

  4. @sorimel I hope you are joking. And if you aren’t, please open the Shulchan Aruch you cherish so deeply and learn the halachot of Shabbat. But again, I really hope you were joking.

  5. To domenick:
    Wrong:
I do care about him and I also care about his family. And I am positive that the majority of the Jewish nation and the majority of the Frum Yidden, they all care about him and his family. Just because you found a few strange individuals on the comment section in the Yeshiva World that maybe you think that maybe those few guys don’t care, please do not interpret the views of a few guys into the majority of any group. Almost all Frum Yidden 99.9 % care about every Yid even if he is still not Frum.

  6. Before I read the comments, I just knew someone whose IQ is less than his/her shoe size would come up with a disgusting, sina-filled comment….in this case, a moron who’s too cowardly to use his/her real name: Sorimel. Please, YWN, can you not allow such comments to appear? There’s enough hatred amongst Yidden who are alive, without despicables like Sorimel getting print time.

Next point. Why do we continue to treat these terrorist subhumans? Leave them to die in the dirt, hopefully slowly & in pain.

    Ben Gvir…. DO SOMETHING!
