The shiva for the Gadol HaDor, Rosh Yeshivas Ponevezh HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein, z’tl has ended.
On Monday, the Rosh Yeshivah’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and close talmidim davened at the kever at the Ponevezh Beis HaChayim in Bnei Brak.
Many azkaros and hespedim for the Rosh Yeshivah, z’tl, are taking place this week. Rosh Yeshivas Shabodka HaGaon HaRav Moshe Hillel Hirsch is scheduled to deliver the main hesped at an azkarah at Yeshivas Chevron in Yerushalayim on Monday as well as at an azkarah in Telzstone.

Not to denigrate Rav Edelstein זצ”ל, but who made him the Gadol Hador? Was there some process, or elections, or what?
@doom777 Shimmy Glick owner of the Yated. He was a great man a real Gadol (doesn’t need my haskamah). But the difference between chasidim and lituim is that usually chasidim will appoint their own rebbe/manhig thus the internal politics. By lituim it is decided by newspapers and political leaders.
This is the truth. I’m not saying which is better but the truth it is. And if you can’t handle it just start spawning your hatred against chasidim. They’ll survive!
