Minutes after the news of the petirah of HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein, z’tl, the Mekubal HaRav Kook, who learned in Ponevezh Yeshivah as a bochur, spoke out sharply against the owners of Angel Bakery and said that the boycott will last “עד ביאת גואל צדק.”
HaRav Kook’s words were published on Thursday in the weekly pamphlet by the Sifsei Cohen Institute, which publishes the Rav’s Torah.
It states in the pamphlet, “Upon hearing the bitter news about the petirah of the Rosh HaYeshivah, z’tl, HaGaon HaRav Dov Kook tore kriyah according to the din of a Rav Muvhak and spoke about the chumros and dikdudei halacha of HaRav Edelstein, z’tl that he hid from the public and no one was aware of beside his closest family members.”
“And afterward, HaRav Kook mentioned ‘the affront to kavod haTorah by מרשיעי ברית. Now we are obligated to continue protesting for the kavod of Torah,’ he said. ‘If the bakery’s administrators had requested forgiveness in time, according to לפנים משורת הדין we would have forgiven them. Now that they continued to persist in their affront, it’s a boycott that will continue until ביאת גואל צדק and will be called ‘חרם דרבנו גרשון.'”
HaRav Kook is the son-in-law of HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Zilberstein, who also spoke out in support of the boycott against Angel.

It is not for me to say I agree, but the chehbon is very clear. they did not apologize bechayov it is now too late.
This ban should remain as the Rav said ad bias goel as a machaa to the affront of this saintly tzaddik who probably was a tzaddik nistor despite being a well known Gadol.
Does thsi saga imply that one cannot seek forgiveness at a קבר of a Rabbi & only at a קבר of a regular person? or is it even implying that the הלכה of seeking forgiveness at any קבר has ceased to be an applicable הלכה?
They can apologize on his grave like in halacha but did not hurt him so they can do it to the bies din or rav dov
This is what I do not get if it is the kovod hatorah that were worried about then what about all girls with satmer stockings or mechitza buses till the country so you can’t see what your feeling

The only possible way out I see would be for Angel (including CEO + offending grandson/heirs & Chairman Bar-Lev) to make a publicly filmed mechila by the kever.

@jpa the middle eastern is relatively balanced, with even a simple meal of pita and hummus having roughly an equal amount protein and carbs.

You are correct in the middle eastern diet is more relative balanced and much healthier that the north American. The higher use of olive oil (OO) vs the cotton seed poison & canola oil are alone worthy. OO Hummus with Israeli salad can be a yes, daily processed flour carbs should be a no. Get a CGM (continous glucose monitor) if you don’t believe me.
