UTJ MK Yaakov Asher, the chairman of the Knesset’s Interior Committee, began a meeting on Monday morning by asking for tefillos for the refuah sheleimah of HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein.
Asher explained that by davening for the Manhig HaDor, we are really davening for ourselves.
“In every generation, the one who ‘pulls the wagon’ are the zakeinei hador,” Asher said. “A zakein is one who acquired wisdom, a lot of experience and insight – that’s why we daven for him as well as for ourselves.”
The Rosh Yeshivah’s condition regressed overnight but family members say he is still adhering to his normal schedule in his hospital room but emphasized the need for tefillos.
The public is asked to continue davening for the refuah sheleimah of HaRav Yerachmiel Gershon ben Miriam b’toch shaar cholei Yisrael.

It’s not בתוך שאר חולי ישראל. It’s בתוך שאר חולאים. When we beg and implore the Creator for a רפואה, we have to show Him that we are not a selfish people. We care and have sincere empathy for every decent man, woman and child, regardless whether they were born to a Yiddishe mother.
Ader, you can also start adding to kaddish- v’al Kol yisrael v’al Kol yoshvei tevel- like the conservative and reform add.
I’ll stick to the nusach that the anshei knesses hagdolah instituted, I’m sure they knew how to design our prayers that will arouse the mercy of the creator.
@ader – The traditional ‘nusach’ though is as stated in the post. There are reasons for the wording that are inclusive of the sensitivities pointed out by your comment.
The Zionist try to say that it is the same kiddush hashem to be in the army that it is the big rabbi learning Torah and the same will of hashem to dance with the Israel flag as it is to put on tefilin every morning
This people do not know has taken the best souls of our people to think that fighting for Jewish life is just as holy as the Torah and loving it’s ethnicity makes you a great person
So this knesset person speaking about davening for this rosh yeshiva in that place that only uses Torah as white wash for a demons army will not help him but it might hurt more people

I am only suggesting, so that HKB”H should finally start listening to our Teffilos. The current health situation, Yidden and Not-Yidden is just terrible.
And we also need that HKB”H should stop Inciting antisemitism against us.
ader – the very best way to stop anti-semitism is for all of us to cut out speaking evil lashon hara. If we’re not good to each other, why should Hashem be? The umos ha’olam can take care of themselves, they’re not our concern.
