Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, a contender in the Kadima Party leadership race, announced on Monday that he feels it is not in the nation’s best interest to hold general elections now.
Mofaz stated the Kadima platform is the answer to the nation’s problems, and he is determined to continue on the same path. He also praised the decision by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who recently announced he will not seek reelection as the party’s leader, and that he plans to step down following the election of the new leader.
