IDF Backs Down Regarding Gazan Fatah Terrorists

Responding to the High Court of Justice on Monday, the IDF stated that Fatah terrorists who were assisted by the IDF in fleeing Hamas terrorists on Saturday would be sent to PA (Palestinian Authority) – controlled Jericho. The move according to IDF officials is coordinated with Abu Mazen.

Israel on Saturday responded to a plea from PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), who turned to Defense Minister Ehud Barak to assist in extricating members of the Fatah-allied Hilles Clan from Hamas gunmen. Close to 200 Fatah terrorists were permitted into Israel and the wounded people are being treated in Israeli hospitals.

After Abu Mazen announced he does plan to grant them asylum in Ramallah, Israel announced they would be sent back to Gaza. ACRI (Association for Civil Rights in Israel) however insists this is inhumane, aware they will be placed under arrest or worse by the Hamas regime, prompting the human rights organization to petition the high court against the IDF decision.
