*A court on Sunday extended the remand of three Arabs arrested on Saturday in violent anti fence protests in Na’alin. They were ordered held for three days.
POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:
*The 17-year-old female injured in the Ramat Gan Safari by an elephant last week is reported in moderate-to-serious condition in Tel Hashomer Hospital. She is a granddaughter of a cabinet minister.
*PA human rights group filed an urgent petition with the Supreme Court seeking to prevent the return of Fatah terrorists to Gaza by Israel.
*Seeking to prevent a right-wing protest marking 30 days since the 2nd bulldozer attack, a policeman wrote a NIS 10,000 fine for a bulldozer driver in Har Nof for having an unacceptable tire.
*As police investigate the death of an Arab boy, presumably shot by border police during a Na’alin anti security fence protest, was detained for questioning and sent to house arrest for five days. Villagers calling for a severe punishment for the “cold blooded murder”.
*A 70-year-old male in the Gush Etzion community of Tekoa was stung by a yellow scorpion. His condition is not known at this time.
*Mofaz promises to establish a national unity government by November.
*Journalists protested in Gaza on Sunday against Hamas’ crackdown on freedom of the press.
*Fatah terrorists returned to Gaza by Israel are fleeing and some have been arrested by Hamas.
*A NIS 750 million budget cut was approved by the cabinet on Sunday. A large portion will be taken from the budget for battered women’s shelters, Channel 1 TV News reports.
