MDA paramedic Lishi Shemesh was driving that fateful Friday when he caught sight of the attack that occurred at a bus stop in Ramot.
He immediately stopped to tend to the wounded victims, including the Paleys, two of whom unfortunately succumbed to their wounds.
Shemesh was invited to the Paley bris, which took place on Wednesday morning, where he introduced himself to Reb Paley and told him about his efforts to save his life at the scene and on the way to the hospital. Reb Paley and his family members thanked him for his dedicated care.
Shemesh said: “The bris was extremely moving. It’s the closing of a circle for me to see Avraham, who was severely wounded in the attack – holding his newborn son. At the time of the terrible incident, we were fighting for his life.”
