A Palestinian with a knife in his possession was arrested in the city of Netanya on Sunday.

“Police officers of the Netanya district launched searches upon receiving a report regarding a suspicious incident near Independence Square in Netanya with no casualties,” the police stated.

“A short time later, the police located the suspect – a resident of the Shomron without a permit to enter Israel with a knife in his possession.”

The suspect was transferred for questioning and will be interrogated, among other things, for his intention to carry out a stabbing attack.
