A thief recently stole thousands of shekels from a mikvah in Har Nof and HaRav Moshe Yaakov Spitzer, the head of the Imrei Shefer mosdos in the neighborhood, called to report the theft to community police officer Sergeant Shay Cohen on Sunday morning.

Cohen, together with police officers from the Moriah station, launched an investigation and shortly later identified the suspect, a resident of Jerusalem in his 40s.

On Tuesday, the suspect was brought to the police station for questioning, and after realizing that the police had enough evidence to indict him, returned the money to the police, who promptly handed over the money to Rav Spitzer.

Rav Spitzer not only showered the police officer with brachos but even blessed the suspect for returning the money and gave him a bracha to mend his ways.
