This past Rosh Hashanah, a group of eight older bochurim learning at Yeshivas Orchos Torah in Bnei Brak encountered HaGaon HaTzaddik Rav Shimon Galai on the street.
The bochurim grabbed the opportunity to receive a bracha for a shidduch from a tzaddik on such a fateful day.
HaRav Galai exceeded their expectations as not only did he shower them with brachos but he promised them that “by Tu B’Shvat, you’ll all be engaged.”
Tzaddik gozeir v’Hakadosh Baruch Hu M’kayeim. Seven of the bochurim got engaged in the months following Rosh Hashanah and the eighth bochur, Eli Grossbard, got engaged on Erev Tu B’Shvat.
Eli is the grandson of HaRav Shraga Grossbard, z’tl, who served as the head of Chinuch Atzmai, and Dr. Moshe Rothschild, z’tl, the founder of Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak

So why doesn’t the Rav provide the same brachos for all the bnos yisroel who also are victimized by the shidduch crisis?
Correction: True, Eli Grossbard is the grandson of Dr. Moshe Rothschild zt”l but he is NOT the grandson of Rav Shraga Grossbard zt”l. The chosson’s grandfather is Rav Shraga’s brother, Rav Nochum Abba zt”l, a tremendous gaon, tzaddik and talmid chochom.
Gadolhatorah
Your name shows how you’re not a gadol at all. Change your name now. You don’t just ask questions like that. This was a special opportunity that he saw you can’t just ask him to change the world. It’s not how it works.
“You can’t just ask him to change the world. It’s not how it works..”
Perhaps you misunderstand. No one was asking HIM to “change the world”. The Rav was seeking intercession by the Ebeshter on behalf of these 8 bochurim. Is their an explicit upper limit on how many brachos a Rav is allowed to provide at one time? I’ve never seen Chazal bring down some number limiting segulahs on behalf of singles.
You can always rely on someone to negatively throw
Criticism on a beautiful story. Some people just cant help themselves.
@gadol
Was this a respectful question?
If so, I’m sure you’re intelligent enough to know that the address for it isn’t here. Only someone capable of giving such a Bracha knows how or why and under what limits it would operate.
Such individuals don’t spend time here.
If it wasn’t a respectful question maybe it should be.
Good guess
He should play the lotto
@gadolhadorah should H be E treated I with S respect he is A an upstandingNmember of our community I and he D only seeks I to serve hashem.O His passive aggressive T questions are a product of his honest and objective stand point. Gadol
You’re completely out of your mind. This has nothing with chazal. They know what they can say and do you’re asking why someone picks 5 apples at the grocery store. That’s what they want no one says anywhere what they should pick and why. Same here it’s what he knows and feels you can’t just make him give a bracha for what you want. You’re completely clueless I see. You’re right al daas there is always those that obviously have issues and express it on Ywn on a story comment.
