Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu is calling on party secretariat officials to make the required amendments to permit the inclusion on retired IDF chief of intelligence Uzi Dayan to run in the party primaries for a slot on the Knesset lineup.
The current party charter requires one to be a party member for three years before becoming eligible as a contender on the party roster.
Both Dayan and Netanyahu told reporters that he was not promised a ministerial post for joining the party.
