Right-wing protestors on Sunday night demonstrated in Tel Aviv, opposed to honors being bestowed on Mohammad Bakri, who stands behind the documentary Jenin Jenin documentary film, which portrays an Israeli massacre in the PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous area during Operation Defensive Shield in April 2002.

Since the release of the documentary, much of the ‘facts’ have been disproved, but the damage to Israel’s image in the international community resulting from the film is significant.

A scuffle did erupt between the sides, with right-wingers labeling Bakri a “criminal.

Bakri recently emerged victoriously from a defamation suit filed against him by IDF reservists as a result of the documentary. The court dismissed the suit filed by five reservists.
