IDF soldiers thwarted a stabbing attack near Ofra in Binyamin on Sunday morning after an Arab terrorist ran toward them holding a knife and tried to snatch one of the solider’s weapons.
The soldiers opened fire and neutralized the terrorist. B’Chasdei Hashem, there were no injuries among IDF forces.
According to a preliminary IDF investigation, the incident began when a group of Arabs began throwing stones at the soldiers in an apparent tactic to distract them. The terrorist then suddenly broke off from the group and ran toward the soldiers wielding a box-cutter knife. He attempted to snatch a soldier’s weapon before he was shot.
The terrorist was evacuated to the hospital but his death was announced shortly later. He was later identified as Ahmed Kahala, 45, a resident of a Palestinian town near Ramallah.

The one thing that was mishandled here was that the soldiers should have been shooting at the rock throwers too.
